The walk-in tub shell of the ShaK is constructed with premium acrylic in a white glossy finish, supported by a stainless-steel frame with adjustable leveling legs, and reinforced with fiberglass gel coat layers. The nonporous acrylic surface is easy to clean and impermeable to mold and mildew. A textured floor, low step-in threshold, one 15″ wall mounted stainless steel grab in a chrome finish, and two 11.5″ white rubberized wall mounted stainless steel grabs, enhance your safety and allow quick and safe entry and exit in and out of the tub.
The ShaK is the largest single seat walk-in tub in the WORLD! This never before seen model is designed for athletes and bathers who are 6’5” and taller. The ShaK walk-in tub measures at 36”W x 72”L and has a regal 29” wide seat. The ShaK’s main feature is the door which is made from industrial grade durable plastic composite material with a decorative tempered glass screen to conceal the mechanical door lock system. The door is 19 1/4” wide, and swings outward from the tub to allow the bathers to comfortably enter and exit the tub. The outward swing door also creates more interior space, which allows bathers to effortlessly sit into the molded seat, pull the door and lock it. Ella U-Shape outward swinging doors use a gear and shaft driven 3-latch door lock that edges out our competition, who typically use a single latch/lever system. A 3-latch door system creates a more secure and watertight door seal, providing you with a safe, leak-free bathing experience.
The ShaK comes with one of the best and exclusive features: Dual Drain Technology, consisting of two independent 2” gravity driven drains with four 2” outlets, 2 overflows and 2 drain openers, allowing for a fast and reliable drainage. 2 caps are also included to cover up to 2 of 4 ports if needed. The 2” drain outlets can be connected to the standard 1 ½” house drain with a T or Y fitting and piping provided by a professional plumber. It is suggested to connect all 4 outlets to the house drain for the fastest drainage possible. Typical drainage time is approximately +/- 120 seconds for this oversized size tub within ideal in-home plumbing conditions. Ella gravity driven dual drains are fast and reliable because they do not require an electric pump, whereas electrical driven drains may fail due to electrical shorts or power outages.
This model also includes one reversible end panel for left or right corner installation options. These panels cover the ends of the tub to give your walk-in tub a completed look. Additional panels can be ordered in the case your tub will be installed to the wall as free standing.

Hydro Massage System
The Hydro Massage System includes: a hydro pump with an in-line water heater, eco-friendly ozone sterilization system, hydro massage intensity dial control, and strategically positioned hydro jet system for targeted and effective massaging.
The in-line water heater helps maintain the water temperature at constant level while bathing, if the water tank can produce enough hot water. It is suggested to upgrade to the largest available 75-gallon water heater to ensure enough hot water. Please consult with a professional contractor to determine if your water tank can provide enough hot water for a walk-in bathtub. Our ozone sterilization system is the most eco-friendly, chemical free disinfectant that can eliminate a wide variety of inorganic, organic, and microbiological bacteria. The sterilization system is especially helpful in eliminating odors and hygienic maintenance. The in-line water heater and ozone sterilization automatically engage when the hydro massage push control is pressed down when turning on your jets. The hydro massage intensity dial control allows you to adjust the strength of the water stream by adding more or less air into the hydro system.
The Ella ShaK has twenty-one (21) strategically placed hydro jets in order to deliver optimal therapeutic relief. Fifteen (15) upper fixed jets work to provide relief to your back, hips and thighs, while six (6) lower adjustable jets massage your feet and calves. Two (2) of these lower jets were specifically placed on the floor of the tub to maximize the enjoyment of a foot massage.
The Hydrotherapy Massage System’s most popular control system is the on/off push control because the buttons were designed to rise above the deck in order to make it easier to push. A smaller, digital controller is also available for the Air+Hydrotherapy Massage Package, but may be more difficult for elderly to see and operate.
Independent Hydro Foot Massage System
The Hydro + Independent Foot Massage package uses two independently run pumps to give bathers a simultaneous full body and foot massage. Or, bathers can enjoy an independent foot massage within minutes of simply filling the foot well up the seat level. The foot massage system includes a hydro pump with an in-line water heater. Please note: if you choose the Hydrotherapy + Independent Foot Massage package, your walk-in bathtub will come with one (1) in-line water heater that will be used with the independent foot massage feature. Both the strategically positioned upper and lower jets powered by two hydro pumps have an intensity dial air control to adjust the strength of the water pressure to your liking from a gentle pressure to a more rigorous massage.
Air Massage System
The Air Jet Massage System includes an air pump with a 3-speed variable push control, strategically positioned air jets for optimal therapeutic relief, and an auto-purge to maintain an air system free of any build ups. The Air Massage System’s most popular control system is the on/off push control because the buttons were designed to rise above the deck in order to make it easier to push. A smaller, digital controller is also available for the Air+Hydrotherapy Massage Package, but may be more difficult for elderly to see and operate.
The ShaK has sixteen (16) strategically placed air jets that pull in air and blow it into the water to create a gentle, relaxing massage. Twelve (12) upper, fixed flat jets work to provide relief to your back, hips and thighs, while an additional four (4) floor jets located in the lower foot area deliver a gentle massage to your feet and legs.
The Air Jet Massage System also includes an auto-purge feature. This feature engages automatically 20 minutes after the pump has been turned off to purge water out of the air jet lines. The auto-purge will run for 120 seconds to ensure your system is clear and free of moisture and excess water helping to prevent the mildew build up.

Infusion™ MicroBubble Therapy
Ella Infusion™ MicroBubble Therapy System consists of a single Microbubble jet connected to a hydro pump and Microbubble Tank System. The high-pressure hydro pump, along with the Microbubble tank, breaks down the water molecules into billions of tiny bubbles which are then sent out through the single jet. Most people are amazed by digs- and they should be! But, what’s not amazing are the bruises and tears in ligaments from dig and barrel roll over the years. They look great, but they hurt for days! Soaking in a bathtub always helps, but the only problem is, at 6’3” it’s hard to soak. Instead, my knees pop up or I can only last a few minutes before feeling too cramped. But my favorite time in the water is when I get to relax in my ShaK. But with the adjustment of the jets and water pressure from the massage, I’m in complete control.
The 2-Piece fast-fill faucet has two (2) pieces: a mounted faucet and a pull out multi-functional hand shower. The lever to control the temperature of the water is included on the mounted faucet, as well as a button that can divert the water flow between the mounted faucet and handshower. The 2-Piece faucet has a fill rate of 16 GPM (gallons per minute), based on plumbing conditions.Available in Chrome or Brushed Nickel.
2. Ella 5 Piece Fast Fill Faucet
The 5-Piece fast-fill faucet has five (5) pieces: two temperature levers, a diverter lever, a mounted faucet and a pull out multi-functional hand shower. To control the temperature of the water, use the hot or cold lever. The third lever can divert the water between the mounted faucet and handshower. The 5-Piece faucet has a fill rate of 18 GPM (gallons per minute), based on plumbing conditions.

We offer two control options: Push Control or Digital Control. Our Push Controls are easy-to-use push down buttons that will operate your chosen jetting and any additional features.
The digital control is our more modern option, giving you a digital keypad from which to control your jets and additional features such as Chromatherapy LEDs and heated seat & backrest. Since the Digital Control is smaller, it may be more difficult for elderly to see and operate.
2. Heated Seat and Backrest
Available on all Ella walk-in tubs, the Heated Backrest & Seat system helps keep you comfortable and warm while your tub fills. Operated by an on/off Push Control or Digital Control, the heated backrest and seat is activated in minutes, keeping users cozy and relaxed from the moment they enter the tub.
3. LED Chromatherapy
LED Chromatherapy features multicolor LED lights that are controlled with an on/off Push Control or Digital Control. The LED light cycles through various colors and illuminates the entire water to create a relaxing and harmonious experience. Since 1876, people have used light waves to rid the mind and body of ailments, commonly referred to as Chromatherapy. It is believed that each color has a different healing property.
Note: LED Chromatherapy is included in bathtubs that include a combination of at least two (2) jetting systems/therapies.
4. Standard Seat Pillow Riser
The Standard Seat Pillow Riser is designed to cover the bidet jets found in your Ella walk-in bathtub. This luxuriously thick pillow is incredibly comfortable and can be used as a riser or additional seat support in all walk in bathtubs. The interior material is washable and can be removed.
5. U-Shape Seat Pillow Riser
Our dual massage walk-in tubs have two air jets in the center of the seat. The U shape pillow is designed to accommodate these two bidet jets. If you want to cover bidet jets, you can utilize the regular seat pillow. This luxuriously thick pillow is incredibly comfortable and can be used as riser or additional seat support in all walk in bathtubs. The interior material is washable and can be removed.

7. Ella 4-Fold Glass Shower Screen in Chrome Finish for Walk-In Tubs
The Ella brand 4-fold shower screen is the best option in the industry for walk-in tubs because of the foldable feature that’s not offered with a standard shower glass or curtains. This gives bathers an airy, open feeling with the option to easily push the screen aside. The lightweight glass, secured in an aluminum frame with quality gear hinges, is sturdy enough to endure rigorous daily use. Additionally, one of the 4-fold sections can be removed to create a 3-fold shower screen.
8. Complete Shower Column For Deck Mounted Faucets
The Shower Column Kit connects to a diverter on an Ella brand 2 or 5 piece deck mounted faucet in order to create an extended overhead shower. The stainless steel, chrome finish column can be effortlessly adjusted up to 7 feet tall. Along the column is a vertically movable, 5 mode multi-functional hand shower, and attached at the top is an oversize rain shower that can be directed with ease to the seat for a seated shower or footwell for a stand up shower. This shower column kit replaces the need for a wall-mounted showerhead.

Where is Ella walk-in tubs manufactured?
Products are manufactured and completed in the USA or in our partner factories located in China. The production location of each ordered walk-in tub is based on required electrical standards and customer’s desired features. A 110V electrical requirement will most likely be completed and shipped out of the USA, while tubs with 220V electrical components will be completed and shipped out of China.
What electrical standard is required for Ella walk-in tubs?
The Ella walk-in tubs can be manufactured with 110V electrical components in the USA or 220V components in our partner factories located in China. Each country will have different electrical standards.
Do your bathtubs come with a warranty?
Yes, Ella’s Bubbles offers a limited lifetime warranty which includes free parts during the lifetime of the original customer, living at the address of installation. This warranty is non-transferable to other customers or locations. Shipping and labor costs are not covered. Delivery time may be affected by customer location and the availability of part(s).
A walk-in bathtub has a door–how exactly does water stay in the tub?
Since bathers enter the bathtub and close the door before filling or draining the bathtub with water, the door is responsible for keeping water in the bathtub. There is a rubber gasket installed into the door or the door frame which is squeezed at the time of closing and locking the door. The gasket seals the door and the door frame.
What is the difference between air massage, hydro massage, and microbubbles?
The air massage has an air pump which pushes the air through the air hoses and air jets, while the hydro massage has a water pump which pushes the water through the water pipes and hydro jets. Microbubble therapy is not a massage but a unique dermatological therapy. Rather, billions of microbubbles are injected through a single water jet by filling the tub with tiny microbubbles capable of penetrating and moisturizing and exfoliating your skin, as well as offering many benefits.

What is the weight capacity for the seat?
If the customer can comfortably fit in the tub, the bathtub can hold the bather’s weight.
What happens if a part on my Ella walk-in tub breaks?
In case of any technical problems, please contact our customer support. Please be prepared to share a description of the issue and photographic evidence with your technician.
Where should the water supply lines be installed before the walk-in tub is installed?
Ella 2-Piece or 5-Piece fast fill faucets include two (2) five-foot long water supply lines, which must be connected to the shut off valves near the tub. Most non-Ella brand faucets may not include supply lines so please check the contents of your purchase.
If the walk-in tub is installed into a three-wall opening, would maintenance be affected?
By placing the walk-in bathtub snugly into a 3-wall opening, it would create limited access for maintenance since the both ends of the tub will be enclosed. However, the removable front apron has access panels for maintenance purposes. Most Ella walk-in tubs come with one reversible end panel included for left or right corner installation. If you need to cover both ends, please purchase an additional end panel.
What electrical house wiring is needed for my walk-in tub?
The house wiring for the tub will be determined by your professional electrician who will calculate total Amperage for each component. For example, if you only have one 5AMP hydro pump with a 7 AMP in-line water heater, it’s a total of 12 AMP. Since breakers are available in increments of 5 Amperage, it’s important to round up; therefore, for 12 AMP, a 15 AMP GFCI protected breaker is required. Walk-in bathtubs, the same as any other bathtubs with electrical parts, will require a dedicated GFCI protected electrical line. Consult with your local licensed electrician.
Will the walk-in bathtub fit in my home?
Ella walk-in bathtubs are delivered as one unit. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure you correctly measure the width of your doorways from the main entrance to the bathroom, and turning angles in which you would need to carry your walk-in bathtub into the bathroom.
Who can install Ella walk-in bathtubs?
Licensed and experienced contractors who are aware of local building construction requirements. Experienced electricians and plumbers will be able to install the bathtub by following our installation manuals, videos and directions.
How do I seal between the tub and wall?
You can seal between the tub and the wall using 100% silicone or silicone based caulking. Please see manuals for additional information.
Can I have additional grab bars installed onto my tub?
No, it will void the warranty. Any additional grab bars must be installed on the bathroom wall.
Is the extension panel custom sized for each tub to fit into a three-wall, 60” alcove opening?
Yes, most Ella tubs that are shorter than 60” include one (1) custom size extension panel to fill a three-wall, 60” alcove. Some tubs, like Front Entry or Mobile, do not have extension panels.
Will the outswing door open when the door is unlocked and there is water inside the bathtub?
Yes, the outswing door will open when the door is unlocked- no matter if the tub is empty or filled with water.
Does the tub come with an in-line water heater?
The Hydro Massage Pump is equipped with an in-line water heater. This in-line water heater is not designed to heat up the water, rather it only maintains the water’s temperature in the tub. As an alternative, the heated seat and backrest option can be purchased to keep the seat warm. It is suggested to upgrade to the largest available water heater to ensure enough hot water.
Why are the faucets so far from the seat?
Faucets are positioned farther from the seat and closest to a small front access panel to gain maintenance access if needed. However, you can request the faucet to be placed on the side wall since the faucet holes are drilled only after orders are placed.
What makes the Ella walk-in tub doors so special?
The most distinguishing features of Ella brand walk-in bathtubs are the sleek designs of the doors. Ella’s offers a variety of door styles: U-shape inward swing, U-shape outward swing, L-shape outswing, and S-Class inward swing.
Does the bath come with handrails?
Ella brand walk-in bathtubs do not come with handrails, however, safety grab bars are included with most models.
Are the walk-in bathtub seats comfortable?
Ella walk-in bathtubs come with a molded acrylic seat. These seats are both sturdy and comfortable. The comfort level will vary due to the length or width of the seat, so please check the drawings to compare and assess.
How many jets are in my walk-in bathtub?

Does the bath come with a faucet or handshower?
If you order an Ella 2-piece or 5-piece deck mount faucet, it will include a faucet and a pull out hand mixed.
Can one of the sections of the 4-fold shower screen be removed?
Yes, one (1) of the 4-fold sections can be removed to create a 3-fold shower screen.
What’s the difference between a 2-Piece and 5-Piece fast-fill faucet?
The main difference between the 2 and 5-Piece faucet is, the 2-piece faucet saves deck space (as there are two pieces); however, the 5-piece faucet has a slightly faster fill time.
Is it possible to shower in a walk-in bathtub?
Yes, if the shower head or shower column is properly installed to avoid water leaks through the pull out hand shower. The pull out hand shower is not designed to be hung on the wall because the water may leak through the retraction hole. Please see helpful information here:
Walk-in bathtubs are designed for seated bathing, therefore laying in a walk-in bathtub is dangerous and prohibited. However, Ella’s Bubbles offers two Lay Down bathtub models: Lay Down 30” x 60” and Lay Down 32” x 72.”
Are all walk-in bathtubs the same?
No, Ella brand walk-in bathtubs have over 25 different model options. Our tubs range in door style, size, jetting options, and therapeutic options.
What size water heater is required?
It is suggested to upgrade to the largest available water heater to ensure enough hot water can be produced. Please consult with a professional contractor to determine if your water tank can provide enough hot water for a walk-in bathtub, or contact Ella’s Bubbles agent or customer support.
Can the thermostatic control valve be adjusted, and if so, how?
Yes, the Thermostatic Control Valve can be adjusted by pressing the button and turning the knob towards the red dot to increase the hot water flow.
